Ojlan

Ojlan (ओजलान) Ojhlan (ओझलान) or Odhlan (ओधरान)or Aujhlan (औझलान) or Ajlan (अजलान) or Aujjihan (औज्जीहान) is gotra of Jats. Megasthenes had mentioned them as Agalassoi. The Jats of this gotra had war with Alexander, who did their massacre. Only 3000 people of this gotra were left who came to Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. ^[1] Dalip Singh Ahlawat has mentioned them as rulers in Central Asia.^[2]

Aujhlan (औझलान) are the descendants of Ujjihana, as per Panini. They are to be compared with the Aujhlan clan of Jats. ^[3]
