- Abdul Hafiz VC (4 September 1925 – 6 April 1944) was an Indian Muslim recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. He was from Kalanaur, district Rohtak Haryana, India. He became martyr during World War II on 6 April 1944 north of Imphal, India.

- Chaman Singh Tewatia (Naik) was born in village Udaipur in Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh. After reorganisation of districts in UP, this village now falls under Hapur tahsil and district. Naik Chaman Singh became martyr in Kargil War on 12 June 1999.

- Zalim Singh Jat (Hanga) (Agre Jat) was born during the British rule in India. He belongs to village Kurkanda of Mathura (at present Kursanda in Sadabad tehsil of Hathras district). He revolted in India's struggle for freedom in 1857 along with Deokaran Singh Hanga. Both the rebels were hanged by the Britishers.
